Once Upon a Town

PrintE-mail

The warmth of the sun the wind on my face

I'm cruising along at my own pace

I lost the map yesterday tomorrow we die

You take the money and I'll take the sky

For once upon a town like this

I loved a woman I never kissed

Trusted a man I never saw again

Had a little fun every now and then

We're all on our own here with nowhere to hide

And no-one to tell us which way to ride

I crave only laughter stories and song

And cop the diversions that happen along

Yeah once upon a town like this

I knocked my teeth out on a strangers fist

I drank so much the world made sense

Then promptly drobve my car through someone's fence

CH Yeah once upon a town like this

Once upon a town like this

Once upon a town like this

I shot to kill then wish I'd missed

I had a win lost everything good

Followed my heart 'cause my head said I should

BR

Don't want to live a life of regret

I'll try anything and fall on my face

I'd rather make a fool of myself

And know that at least I was in the race

Once upon a town like this

I loved a woman I never kissed

Trusted a man who sold me a pup

And I swear I saw the rain falling up
