Weatherman Song

PrintE-mail

I used to be a weatherman only worked eight minutes a day

Advising people what to wear and when they should make hay

I didn’t know much about weather but lucky nor did you

You’d always ask me how it was I’d say I wouldn’t have a clue

CH 1 Everyday how’s the weather goin’ mate did ya get it right today

Was not the most original thing I heard along the way

So I hope you weren’t offended if I turned and walked away

I heard the question asked at least a thousand times a day

Now when you see the doctor out do you tell him that you're sick

Or get the dentist to check your teeth when he's dining with his chick

Perchance you meet a sailor do you enquire about the sea

So why the bloody hell did you want a forecast from me

CH 1

Broken down in Nowheresville waiting for a tow truck

When along comes Superman I say what the . . . good luck

He says can you tell me ‘bout conditions in the sky

I’ve got a long long way to go and I’ve really got to fly

CH 2 And he says how’s the weather goin’ mate did ya get it right today

I swear they were the only words the great man had to say

And no of course I’m not offended that he didn’t choose to stay

A man in cape and underpants had best go on his way

Charming my companion with great yarns about the weather

Just about to demonstrate how warm fronts come together

When she leans towards me with cleavage down to here

Lips they brush against my cheek she whispers in my ear

CH 3 She whispers how’s the weather goin’ mate did ya get it right today

Not quite the suggestive thing that I had hoped she’d say

And no of course I’m not offended by your little joke there honey

I’ve never heard that line before I find it rather funny

Every day how’s the weather goin’ mate did ya get it right today

Was not the most original thing I heard along the way

So I hope you weren’t offended if I screamed and ran away

I heard the question asked at least

Yeah heard the question asked at least

Heard the question asked at least a thousand times day
